WHY NoCo?
-
Joining a pool league is a great way to meet new people and make friends. Compete together, bond, learn strengths and weaknesses, support each other, and grow. You’ll expand friendships and network on your local league night, but also have the chance to make national and international friends at CSI national showcases.
-
When you join a local BCAPL or USAPL division of CUE SPORTS INTERNATIONAL, you’ll join a competitive division and be given the means to elevate your game to a higher level. A rising tide lifts all ships. A perfect example of this is our MOSCONI CHALLENGER SERIES.
“Mosconi Challenger” Primer
”Mosconi Challenger“ Venue PosterCSI has created the most complete and professional rulebook in amateur pool. Playing to these standards makes for better competition. CSI takes sharking and sportsmanship seriously, with guidelines and penalties outlined. CSI partners with FargoRate to place amateur and pro players on the same rating scale. CSI national showcases often combine amateur and pro events under the same roof. They even blend them in the same fields on occasion (e.g. Pro/Am Doubles). Historically speaking, and on average, established BCAPL and USAPL divisions feature more skilled players than other organizations because there are higher or no team caps. The better the players and game standards, the more you’ll be inspired and challenged to improve.
-
Unlike other amateur league formats, your opponents are pre-determined by the schedule and scorecard. “Matching up” and “ducking” are avoided. in BCAPL, a round robin scorecard grid means lower-rated players will have an equal opportunity to play higher-rated players.
In USAPL, a developmental league format under the CSI umbrella, races are to ball counts vs. racks won. This works to lengthen each player’s average run, which enhances ball-pocketing skills even before rack wins are normalized. The weighting of ball-count races is determined by the skill levels of players using the Fargo app.

CSI national showcases include events in OH, OK, LA, MI, NV, TX, WI, and Puerto Rico. Any BCAPL member or USAPL player who meets basic qualifications can enter. You’ll need a current CSI membership and have 4 or 8 matches played in a single session during the prior calendar year, depending on the event.

BCAPL STIPENDS
Our BCAPL divisions compete for stipends, to be used toward expenses to enter a CSI national showcase. Divisions must be comprised of at least 6 teams, each with three players, playing a 10-week session with at least a $15 match fee per player. The more teams, the longer the sessions, the more stipends will grow.
To qualify for a CSI national showcase, each player must play at least 4 matches in a single session (although some CSI showcases will require 8 matches played in a single session, like CSI Expo in Las Vegas).
There are four BCAPL sessions per year. A different team will earn each of the first three sessions. We guarantee this simply. Once a team wins a session, they’re removed from the eligible reward pool until the fourth session, which is then “up for grabs.” Of course, they can compete and even win the league in subsequent sessions. They just won’t continue to be paid for it. One team can double up to $3,600 ($1,200 per player) once annually in the fourth session. It’s also possible that a fourth different team could earn $1,800. In this final scenario, given a 6-team division, that means 66% of teams will earn a cash stipend to the CSI showcase of their choosing. Those are outstanding odds!
Stipends are earmarked specifically for use in competing at a CSI national showcase. This is not an in-house cash league. Cash is disbursed with proof of event entry and flights. Please coordinate with your division manager or a league operator.
USAPL VEGAS TRIPS
USAPL divisions cover full travel and/or entry for entire teams into one of eight (8) CSI national showcases, including CSI Expo on Las Vegas. The number of awarded teams is determined by the size of the division, but it will be at least one for every 12-team division.
USAPL Division Managers submit monthly payments for the prize fund, which is held in an escrow account by the USAPL National Office until it’s needed for league prizes.
