    IMPORTANT UPDATES
Some changes may not be reflected in the player guide!

    1. Bypassing 2026 CSI membership trigger by not reporting results to LMS/Fargo. We’d like to simplify some of the process ahead, save players money, and amplify our entries by reducing a likely obstacle to participation. Because North Country CSI is a sanctioned BCAPL (#2202), if we ran this through our normal scoring protocol, Fargo scores would trigger CSI membership for 2026 through LMS, which could easily feel earlier than many are used to paying. For players outside BCAPL, we’d like this to feel more open (thus, SKY OPEN), which we can best ensure by not requiring a CSI membership.

    2. Clarifying that it’s play one or play all. There is no requirement to enter all three SKY OPEN events or not participate at all. This confusion is probably arising for two reasons: We advertised this as a three-event showcase to highlight that it’s three separate events on three consecutive weekends, albeit under the same SKY OPEN umbrella — but this may sound like the event is an all-or-nothing set, and it’s not. Because we’d like to crown an overall champion, the second reason this may have confused some is that we asked those players interested in this specifically to play in all three events. The points awarded for the overall championship are highlighted by event on pages 7, 15, 19, and 23. of the player guide. Each event has a separate purse, projected by full fields, also in the player guide.

    3. Revising scorecards. We simplified the scorecards to make it easier for us to setup matches and for players to understand their races. You can review sample scorecards and tooltips by event on pages 14, 18, and 22 of the player guide.

    4. Publishing payout mechanics here. Because we may not max out the fields (9Ball Triples is currently lagging), it makes sense to publish the specific math that will guide our purses. That math is as follows: 1st: 23%, 2nd: 12%, 3rd/4th: 9.5% each, 5th-8th: 4.5% each, 9th-16th: 3.5% each. Payouts should end up being 83% of entries paid (removing admin, greens fees, and other event expenses).

  • Only fully paid entrants listed.
